Some months ago, I was inspired to make a standalone Munin node for floppyfw. As the availability of tools and languages (no Perl at least), I ended up writing it from scratch in Bourne shell. At the moment, these plugins are implemented: * df * cpu * if_ * if_err_ * load * memory * processes * swap * netstat * uptime * interrupts * irqstats Most of the plugin logic is taken from the respective Munin plugins, but always rewritten to ensure there is no commands used in the plugins that might be unavailable on floppyfw. The plugins are added to the main shell script at "compile" time (a Makefile is provided). This allow you to make a very small node, with only a minimum of space required. This node contains no code to listen to the network (the same as munin-node-simple) and therefore requires inetd or some other mechanism to be able to listen for incoming requests. Muninlite can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/muninlite/ .Rune Nordbøe Skillingstad -- Chief engineer, IT group, ITIS, DMF, NTNU |
