Hi, Here is a new version of the Python wildcard plugin that monitors all SMART attributes on SMART compatible hard-drives. This plugin depends on the smartmontools. It's available from here: http://www.neo-lan.net/~nico/munin/smart_ An example of the output can be seen here: http://www.neo-lan.net/~nico/munin/smart_hda-month.png Major changes since previously posted version include: - Add "autoconf" and "suggest" capabilities (This should work on Linux2.4 and 2.6, OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeBSD and SunOS). - smartctl path can be passed through "smartpath" environment variable - smartctl arguments can be overriden with "smartargs" environment variable - Plot smartctl_exit_code bitmask, which is informative about the drive's health status. The plugin needs the following minimal configuration in plugin-conf.d/munin-node in order to work: [smart_*] user root group disk Additionnal configuration parameters are described in the plugin itself. Can some people running on SunOS or *BSD tell me if everything works fine ? Portability problems reports are appreciated. There is a verbose option in the plugin that helps tracing the errors.
