I know development has stopped and this is no longer supported since 2020, but it has still been usable and able to draw sets until the Assassins Creed release.
Is there any way to force updates somehow or edit files to get the new cards in? This is still by far the best MTG database program out there and I haven't been able to find anything that comes close with folders and subfolders for splitting cards by type. It made deckbuilding a breeze.
Anyway, just curious if anyone has a solution.

Hello, I made an application that is converting "most" of the Scryfall database in the Magic Assistant database. So, recent cards are available. I'm beta testing with a few others, but I can share with you if you want to try it also.
Is there a way to get updates to all cards and the new cards to be added from the MTG-DB without going to SkyfallDB?
To precise my question, how did it work before skyfall and why does it nolonger work this way?
Before, the cards were extracted from the Gatherer, not from Scryfall. The gathered doesn't have the all the prints, so only the "standard" layout / card was available (no special print, no special set, etc), but there are also errors/glitches that prevent it to work fine. Also, updating the database could date hours or days, and not really work well.
With the application I made, the update is done within 15 mins approx and more that 80k cards, including special sets/prints. I hope this answered your questions.

Hello, we're working actively to update Magic Assistant so it get the cards database from Scryfall. This will be better solution that using the independant application I made. We're making progress bug this is not completed yet.
