#660 magicassistant "with java" not running on Linux (Ubuntu)

Trying to run the magicassistant variant "with java" crahes on Linux (at least on my Ubuntu). Workaround is quite simple: Download Oracle Java 8 from the official website and replace the contents of the jre folder. This bug report shall help people running into the same issue.

Maybe it is possible to update the provided jre to a non-crashing one?
