.dec Apprentice files (created using Decked Builder on iOS) import fine into MTGB, however, when exporting those same decks produces a java.lang.NullPointerException error.

I think it is because there is no exporter for this format, but you can create a custom export in the preferences

I don't actually want to export as an Apprentice.dec file. I'm trying to import an Apprentice.dec file (which works fine) and export as "Deck Classic Text".

Ah yes there is a bug, it remembers previous format I tries to set it for export, but because it does not have exporter it fails. Try to do some fake Import from Deck Classic, that should reset default selection in the Export dialog
