mtfmapper is amazing! I'm experimenting with the "backlit razor blade" technique instead of using printed targets. My input images are all pre-cropped to the roi. I add "--single-roi" argument to the preferences dialogue each time the application runs. It would be great if that option could be "sticky" so it could be retained between uses. Please add GUI preferences checkbox for "--single-roi".
Thank you.

I could add "--single-roi" to the preferences (and thus make it persistent), but I am concerned that this would lead to all kinds of failures (such as when you forget this option is enabled, and you give MTF Mapper a normal test chart image).
An alternative solution (and my preference at the moment) is to add a dedicated action under the "File" menu, something like "File->Open cropped edge image".
How does that sound?

Frans

Your alternate file open option makes sense and would work equally well. Sorry for the delayed response, I thought I was subscribed to the thread but was not.
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I have uploaded version 0.6.20 which now includes the extra "Open" menu entry for specifically processing single-edge images.
