Hi!

After I've compiled the linux kernel 2.4.20 (without
modules) I got this error message while starting the
syslog daemon (msyslog-v1.08e):

--- ERRMESSAGE BEGIN ---
syslogd: linux input module: ksym_init: /proc/ksyms: No
such file or directory
syslogd: WARNING error on linux input module
--- ERRMESSAGE END ---

Could anybody tell me please, what I've done wrong?

thnx for your time!

I got it fixed. I had to use a msyslog from rpm, then I
pulled the binary stuff from an older server that did work
and it took off. I start with msyslogd -i linux -i 'udp -
q -a' -i unix and am logging to a mysql database. Good
luck, it was a beast to get working. I tried all the
versions. After it gets rolling it works well though.
Keep googling. The answer is there. I'll look around my
server and see if I can find more.
