Thanks, Grant.. You have been most helpful.. Now, do you have any idea why I might be getting the above error? I've been googling spy-bi-wire, msp430, linux, gdbproxy etc. in all possible combinations. I did land on Nicholas Preyss' page and Oleg Eyrich's page and worked to get the linux driver working. I also tried to reach the msp430-gdbproxy's CVS repository and look for revision notes to indicate 'spy-bi-wire' support. And with this thread (and several others on several fora) proclaiming 'no support for spy-bi-wire' on linux, I'm sorry if I got a little confused.
