Is > downloading of the patch necessary before attempting a mass erase? no, it the msp430-bsl tool contains all that is needed ( a patch is indeed needed to be able to program flash on F149 chips with but erase works without it, there are however "extra erase cycles" needed, which msp430-bsl will take care of.) chris |
