Output of "ms-sys /dev/sda1":
/dev/sda1 has a FAT32 file system.
/dev/sda1 has an x86 boot sector,
it is an unknown boot record
Boot record on that partition was generated by "syslinux /dev/sda1", using Syslinux 3.52.
As ms-sys support for syslinux today is limited to the MBR the failure to detect something written by syslinux to a partition is not considered a bug, maybe it would be a missing feature. However, I don't see the need for such a feature to be very big, syslinux is already an existing free tool capable of writing such partition boot records.
I move this "bug report" to "feature requests" with a rather low priority.
