mrViewers caching speed is quite horrible when multilayer EXRs are loaded. I am wondering if mrViewer is actualy loading and caching all the layers. If so would not it be better if it caches the default one and recaches if the user changes to another layer in the sequence.
Thanks

mrViewer is caching a single layer. The bad performance is with the exr library itself. However, if you save the multilayer exr as a multipart exr, the performance is excellent. If your 3d package does not support multipart exrs, please complain to your vendor and ask them to do so.

Ok that makes sense. I am using Blender for EXR output. I will see if it can do multipart.
