I think there is an issue with the display of anamorphic images. If you look at this video of "Red's Dream", you can see that the image is slightly stretched vertically.

This is likely because the video is in anamorphic format, here is the relevant part from the media info window:

You need to click on the pixel aspect button, which is the 1:1 button on the right of the top toolbar. That should make the anamorphic video display properly. Let me know if that does not fix it for you.

Yeah that fixed it, though its a bit inconvenient for me because i prefer to hide all ui elements except for the timeline. Is there a chance you can make it detect anamorphic videos and make it switch to that mode automatically?

You can already do so in the Preferences window->View Window->Compensate Pixel Ratio. Toggle it to on and save the preferences. Next time you load mrViewer it will have the button pressed. (NOTE: there's a small bug I just found that if you save the preferences twice it will turn off the button).

Alright that does everything i needed, but i need to ask: Is there a reason not to have this enabled by default?

No reason other than showing the pixels without any compression by default. I now set the default behavior to use the pixel aspect ( but you need to recreate/load the prefs file for it to take effect ).
