Is there a definitive guide to configuring a CAS server.
There seems to be multiple locations to configure the authentication settings i.e. config.inc.php, systemdefaults.inc.php etc.
As with any settings, you should not edit systemdefaults.inc.php but instead edit config.inc.php which overrides systemdefaults. That way your settings will normally survive an upgrade to a later version of MRBS.
That said, the CAS code is untested and other people have reported problems.

Hi Campbell,
Thanks for the heads up on the systemdefaults / config option.
Is there a best practice setup guide for CAS?
I have tried many options, but feel I am at the trial and error stage and getting nowhere!

Hi Campbell,
I have configured the as per your recommendations from ticket "#1533 How to setup CAS login using the MRBS 1.7.1 release?".
I am on MRBS release 1.9.2.
And when I browser to the page I get a blank screen.
When I inspect the page I get the following: [cid:image002.png@01D7368D.F9714E40]
I feel there is configuration elsewhere that I have missed?

No, there isn't a setup guide that I'm aware of. The CAS code was contributed by a third party and hasn't been tested in the 1.9.2 release.
I don't know if it's possible for you to set my test server up as a registered service on your CAS server and give me a login? If so, send me a PM and I'll send you the details. If not, I understand.

Hi Campbell,
That should be possible.
Can you forward your test server details so that I can configure my CAS server please?

I've sent you a PM with the details.
Solved - a config problem.
