#419 User can not edit own account due to error message

Hi,
I have a fresh install of 1.7.1 (cacec7 ). When an admin role logs in they can edit accounts without issue. However if a user role logs in and tries to edit their email address etc, they are presented with an error message stating "You must enter a name." when the form contents are validated.

I am have 3 additional columns in my user table but I don't think that is causing the issue.
