Having created a project plan using ProjectLibre (attached "many splitts.pod"). Opened MS Project 2016 and opened this "many splitts.pod" file and saving it to "many splitts.mpp". This leads to that error that the library is reading 11 tasks out of "many splitts.pod" while reading 12 tasks out of "many splitts.mpp".

Hi, the difference in the number of tasks is down to the fact that the MPP file contains a project summary task (it's called PIN and will have an ID of zero), the MSPDI data embedded in the POD file does not have that summary task. The summary task is not normally visible in MS Project, there is a setting which allows you to see it if you wish.
