The commands you are seeing with respect to rsvp-te are just place holders, there is not any RSVP-TE code behind it. Hello, I installed the iproute rpm packages but am unable to run the 'spec_nh' specific ip command. Also can you kindly setup an ftp server from where I can download all the source files specially for the latest kernel, iproute and iptables one as I cannot use p4 due to port blockage in my university. Thanks in advance. |

Hello, I tried mpls-1.1 patched kernel version 2.6.5 and quagga-ldp with ospf and rsvp from Leu repository. Currently i have working ospf but not rsvp. Juniper says that rsvp neighbour is down. I can't debug configuration because mplsd daemon dies when i try to "trace all" in it's config. Has anyone some working configuration covering rsvp/ospf/mpls |

Hello everybody,
I've just patched kernel-2.4.25 with mpls-1.172, and now I'm trying
to compile quagga to support ldp, but I'm having some problems. I've
donwladed a pair of directories from James's development tree:
* ldp-portable
* quagga-ldp
Do I need any other directory ?
I'm trying to compile quagga-ldp after execute 'create-links', but I get
some errors, there are some variables which aren't defined, do you know what
am I doing wrong??
I've seen the web page of the mailing list is out of date, is there any
problem with it ?
I need some help to compile quagga, please!!
Thanks for your time, Pablo

Dear all
Now I have patched mpls-linux-1.172.tar to linux and compiled. Then I
patch ldp-portable-0.310 to zebra-0.94.
I configure the mplsd between A and B .A has two interface ‘
202.112.146.244’and ‘192.168.100.67’.B has one interface ‘
202.112.146.177’ .
First I startup zebra and configure the router-id .Router-id is
202.112.146.244 for A and 202.112.146.177 for B.
Then I startup mplsd and configure the peer . I input ‘peer
202.112.146.177’for A and ‘peer 202.112.146.244’ for B.
Then I startup ripd and startup their interface.
Then the mplsd will be shut up.
When I debug mplsd with gdb,it will show:
Mpls_mpls_outsegement_add() at impl_mpls.c:98
Mir.mir_instruction[1].mir_date.set.mni_if=o->nexthop.if_handle->ifindex
Cannot access memory at address 0x18
Why it ?
Please help me!Thank you very much!

Hi all again,
I don't know if someone has already answered my two last
messages, but I haven't received any. I have looked at
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=3D5051, but it's
still out of date!!. Perhaps I have some problem with my mail (although
I think it works right) because just now I have received a James's mail
with subject:
Re: [mpls-linux-general] I want to get the newer ldp-portable, but I
haven't received the message with subject:
[mpls-linux-general] I want to get the newer ldp-portable, so something
is going wrong,.... (maybe the =20
mpl...@li...
??)
Anyway, I'm still having the same problems compiling quagga-ldp with
2.4.20 and 2.6.1 kernels, so I need some help. If someone has already
answered me, please resend me your answer.
Thanks in advance,
Art.

Hello, I have upgraded the kernel to 2.6. I have installed the src rpm for iptables-1.2.9 but when i try to install iptables-1.2.9*.i386.rpm I get a failed dependency error like "kernel >= 2.4.20 is needed by iptables-1.2.9*spec_nh1". Also once the rpm packages are installed can I directly start using iproute and iptables commands associated with mpls as I previously used binaries to compile them. Also can you kindly tell me the exact versions of iptables and iproute2 to use in case I want to patch them and compile them manually. |

Hi, I don't really know how I should compile quagga-ldp (Is this the directory I have to compile?) that I've downloaded from James's development tree. I'm trying to do the next: 1. modify quagga-ldp/mplsd/create-links to point to ldp-portable source distribution (taken from James`s tree) 2. execute create-links 3. go back to the top of the quagga-ldp source tree 4. aclocal 5. automake 6. autoconf 7. configure and compile quagga-ldp (disabling ipv6) Am I doing something wrong? I'm trying to compile it, but I always get errors, I have seen that the library mplsd.h has changed from kernel 2.4.x to kernel 2.6.x, but if I update this library,I also get an error: . . . gcc -g -O2 -Wall -o mplsd impl_fib.o impl_ifmgr.o impl_lock.o impl_mm.o impl_mpls.o impl_policy.o impl_socket.o impl_timer.o impl_tree.o mpls.o mpls_interface.o mpls_zebra.o mpls_main.o mpls_vty.o static.o static_vty.o ldp.o ldp_interface.o ldp_vty.o ldp_remote_peer.o l2cc_interface.o ldp_addr.o ldp_adj.o ldp_attr.o ldp_buf.o ldp_cfg.o ldp_entity.o ldp_fec.o ldp_global.o ldp_hello.o ldp_hop.o ldp_hop_list.o ldp_if.o ldp_inet_addr.o ldp_init.o ldp_inlabel.o ldp_keepalive.o ldp_label_abort.o ldp_label_mapping.o ldp_label_rel_with.o ldp_label_request.o ldp_mesg.o ldp_nortel.o ldp_notif.o ldp_outlabel.o ldp_pdu_setup.o ldp_peer.o ldp_resource.o ldp_session.o ldp_state_funcs.o ldp_state_machine.o ldp_tunnel.o ldp_nexthop.o mpls_compare.o lsr_cfg.o lsr_global.o lsr_if.o lsr_insegment.o lsr_labelmanager.o lsr_outsegment.o lsr_xconnect.o lsr_ftn.o rsvpte.o rsvpte_vty.o rsvpte_interface.o rsvpte_global.o rsvpte_if.o rsvpte_cfg.o ../lib/libzebra.a -lm -lcrypt ldp_vty.o(.text+0xce7): En la funci=F3n `mpls_show_ldp_attr': /tmp/mpls/quagga-ldp/mplsd/ldp_vty.c:716: undefined reference to `ldp_cfg_global_attr' collect2: ld devolvi=F3 el estado de salida 1 make[2]: *** [mplsd] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/mpls/quagga-ldp/mplsd' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/mpls/quagga-ldp' make: *** [all] Error 2 Where is 'ldp_cfg_global_attr' defined? Hi all,
I've downloaded the directories quagga-ldp and ldp-portable from
James's development tree, but I'm having some problems compiling it
(I've seen that somes stucts have changed,...). I have a kernel 2.4.20
patched with mpls-linux-1.172 and I'm wondering if it's possible to
compile it with this kernel or I should migrate to a 2.6.x. I actually
need to work with 2.4.20 kernel, so I hope this new release of
ldp-portable works with my kernel or I'm gonna be in great problems.
Kindly,
Art

Hello, I am using upgraded versions of iptables and iproute2 and I have all netfilter options enabled in the kernel as well. Also, if I upgrade to kernel 2.6 at the ingress and the egress will I have to do the same at the LSRs. Thanks in advance. |

Did you install/compile a MPLS enabled version of iptables or iproute2? I no longer do development on the 2.4 kernel. If you want the latest MPLS code I suggest moving to a 2.6 kernel. Hi all,
I'm trying to do that a linux machine (kernel 2.4.20, successfully
patched with mpls-linux-1.172 and ldp-portable-0.310 for zebra 0.94)
stablishes two ldp connections through two gre tunnels, with two cisco

I have tried a lot things, but it doesn't work.
I have changed the router-id of my linux machine to 16.0.0.1 and my
linux tries to start the TCP connections, but it uses a wrong IP source
address (12.0.1.2 in Tunnnel0 and 13.0.1.2 in Tunnel1, instead of
16.0.0.1, why?)
The mpls daemon sometimes stops it when I start it and always does it
when I type:
mplsd# sh ldp discovery Connection closed by foreign host.
It's really annoying!!
Has anyone some idea about what I'm doing wrong??
Thanks for your time,
Kind regards,
Art

I would suggest migrating to the 2.6 version. > Thanks for your information... > > Best Regards, > Jonathan > > > > Call Trace: > [<c0264f76>] mpls_output2+0xa6/0x1a0 [kernel] > [<c02650e6>] mpls_output_shim+0x76/0x140 [kernel] > [<c0265233>] mpls_output+0x83/0xc0 [kernel] > [<c022ee14>] ip_forward+0x1c4/0x2b0 [kernel] > [<c022e049>] ip_rcv_finish+0x1f9/0x260 [kernel] > [<c0219608>] netif_rx+0x78/0x180 [kernel] > [<c021999e>] netif_receive_skb+0x11e/0x1e0 [kernel] > [<c0219acf>] process_backlog+0x6f/0x110 [kernel] > [<c0219bda>] net_rx_action+0x6a/0x100 [kernel] > [<c01228d6>] do_softirq+0xa6/0xb0 [kernel] > [<c010aae0>] do_IRQ+0xb0/0xc0 [kernel] > [<C010d158>] call_do_IRQ+0x5/0xd [kernel] > [<e280a8a0>] E journal_blocks_per_page_R8187c971+0x3d0/0xffffabf0 [jbd] > [<e2803ec3>] E journal_get_write_acessRc22dd827+0x53/0x70 [jbd] > [<e2815ece>] E journal_blocks_per_page_R8187c971+0xbafe/0xffffabf0 [jbd] > [<e280322d>] E ___strtok_R29805c13+0x223f67c5/0xffd377d8 > [<e280334d>] E ___strtok_R29805c13+0x223f68e5/0xffd377d8 > [<e2815f68>] E journal_blocks_per_page_R8187c971+0xbb98/oxffffabf0 [jbd] > [<e2816071>] E journal_blocks_per_page_R8187c971+0xbca1/oxffffabf0 [jbd] > [<c01582b3>] __mark_inode_dirty+0x93/0xa0 [kernel] > [<c01593ea>] update_atime+0x6a/0x70 [kernel] > [<c01360ea>] generic_file_reaed+0x9a/0x150 [kernel] > [<c0135fd0>] file_read_actor+0x0/0x80 [kernel] > [<c0144342>] get_empty_filp+0x52/0x130 [kernel] > [<c014bc46>] kernel_read+0x66/0x70 [kernel] > [<c014c0ce>] prepare_binprm+0x12e/0x150 [kernel] > [<c014c549>] do_execve+0xb9/0x1d0 [kernel] > [<c0107c2d>] sys_execve+0x4d/0x80 [kernel] > [<c010938f>] system_call+0x33/0x38 [kernel] > > Code: ff 40 04 8b 13 8b 41 04 89 42 30 8b 41 04 8b 13 8b 40 0c 89 > <0>Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler! > In interrupt handler - not syncing > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g > Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market... Dear all, This Linux mpls implementation is great and I have had seven PCs running for a couple months without any big drama. However, I have encountered 4 occasions of kernel panic in one machine and one more kernel panic in another machine during this time (please see trace below for the latest event). Would anyone happen to know what could have caused it? I am still using mpls-Linux version 1.172 (@242) on a Mandrake 9.1 platform (kernel 2.4.21, P4 1.7GHz, 256M RAM). Thanks for your information... I have patched mpls-linux-1.172.tar to linux and compiled.Then I patch ldp-portable-0.310 to zebra-0.94. First I input ‘zebra d’ in order to startup zebra.Second I input ‘mplsd’ in order to startup mpls. Then the screen will print the following information: MPLS: MPLSD (0.94) starts MPLS: interface add lo index 1 flags 73 metric 1 mtu 16436 MPLS: address add 127.0.0.1 to interface lo MPLS: address add 0.0.0.0 to interface lo MPLS: interface add eth0 index 2 flags 4163 metric 1 mtu 1500 MPLS: address add 202.112.146.244 to interface eth0 MPLS: address add 254.128.0.0 to interface eth0 MPLS: interface add eth1 index 3 flags 4099 metric 1 mtu 1500 MPLS: address add 192.168.100.67 to interface eth1 MPLS: address add 254.128.0.0 to interface eth1 MPLS: interface add sit0 index 4 flags 128 metric 1 mtu 1480 MPLS: router-id change 0.0.0.0 MPLS: route add 192.168.100.0/24 MPLS: ifindex 3 MPLS: route add 202.112.146.0/24 MPLS: ifindex 2 I have config 202.112.146.244 to interface eth0 and 192.168.100.67 to interface eth1. Why dose ‘the mplsd’ add two address on one interface? Why dose router-id changed to 0.0.0.0? Please help me!Thank you very much! _________________________________________________________________ 免费下载 MSN Explorer: http://explorer.msn.com/lccn |
