I'll post here the reply that I sent yesterday. In case that could help anyone. Hello Lee Kye Hwan, The error that you mention in 99% of the cases are because a bad kernel configuration. The only way that I avoid this error is installing a correct version of iptables with the correct version of kernel (in my case I used mpls 1955 version of iptables with kernel 2.6.18.1). I fixed that error with that but now I've got an other error related to iptables too (like I post in the mailing list) PS: I think that I have already fixed my error of unknow argument applying the policy in the mangle table instead directly with -A forward regards On Thu, Sep 11, 2008 at 6:10 PM, Lee kye hwan <kye...@yn...> wrote: > > Hello, > > I'm now studying mpls QoS guaranteed traffic engineering. > > I intended to test mpls traffic engineering in the document > mpls-linux-labs_v1.950. > Also I used the script included in it. First off, poor form for posting HTML encoded email to mailing lists. Please don't. Second, I have not tried iptables on 1.962 yet. I'll look into it. A couple of hours ago there hasn't reply from the server. I tried minutes ago and finally I could achieve it. Now I'm downloading all the repository. By the way, using perforce in visual mode launches an error saying that the server is too old for visual mode, I don't know if you are aware of that. When the download finish I'll try to search the linux-kernel.diff file to patch a vanilla kernel for mpls-linux 1958 (kernel 2.6.22.5). Are the patches saved in any directory in particular? Hello, I'm trying to download the mpls-linux patch for the 2.6.22.5 kernel (1958) from perforce but I'm unable to do it. I believe that it is an error on the server side but I'm not sure. I want to apply it to a vanilla kernel. If you have it could you send it to me (kernel.diff)? Thank you |

There is a know error with iptables 1.955. Your best bet is to always use the head-of-line for mpls-linux which at this time is 1.962 on fedora 8. I'm trying to use iptables (version 1.3.5 mpls patched 1955 converted with alien -scripts from rpm file) with a debian filesystem.
