While this isnt quite the same as the error k11stan has been getting, I too am unable to make -any- content play with mplayerplugin. What happens, as far as I can see: The player loads in the space provided by the embed/object tags, starts to cache the file, and then starts trying to play. then, immediately stops. once a file is totally cached and i could rightclick to 'save file as', if i try to play it this happens: it says "getting playlist" which takes a couple seconds, to "playing (stream/file URL here)" and then immediately goes right back to "stopped" I've upgraded my mplayer to cvs as of about 3 hours ago (been going with cvs mplayer for a good few months now actually, randomly choosing when to upgrade), mplayerplug-in is at 3.21, firefox 1.5.0.1 (binary downloaded with Dropline Gnome, i will try an official build from mozilla and see if that fixes it) and, oddly enough everything used to work on firefox 1.0.x Also, is it possible that different settings options may conflict, (specifically 'amount to cache' and 'minimum cache size')? i think I remember a few months ago if i set one too high, or one too low, nothing would play.. but now no amount of fiddling with it makes anything work. |
