Hi Jan,

I just downloaded MPlayer OS X 2 (beta 6) in the hope of playing .ac3 music
on a surround system. But it didn't work -- opening a file caused MPlayer to
crash. I've attached a small test track in the .ac3 format.

As far as I know there aren't any other players that will do AC-3 on Mac
10.3 (except the DVD player; but that one won't play music files, just DVDs
with AC-3 sound).
