[MPlayerOSX-devel] Static problem as movie loads

Mplayer 2.0b6 (though this bug also happened in lower versions)
OS X.3 Panther (though this bug also happened in Jaguar)
Powerbook G3/500

As any movie screen loads, a loud blast of "static-like" noise comes through
the right channel. As soon as the movie starts playing, this noise stops.

I have not experienced anything like this in any other app, or using the
same movie files in other applications. The longer the movie takes to load,
the longer the noise continues for.
