I'm also having big problems getting files to play. WMV and AVI files
play audio but no video. MPlayer attempts to launch a video window,
whose icon bounces in the dock while the audio plays without a hitch.
On 10.4.2 Powerbook G4 1.5GHz with QuickTime 7 Standard.

Console reports:

Enable it at compilation.
