I have installed Microsoft NNTP bridge to their web support forums, to prepare for closing of public.microsoft.* groups.
It works, but all senders in groups view have this string in From field...

=?utf-8?B?codestring?=

Article source shows headers like this

From: =?utf-8?B?S2FyaHUtSUlJ?=
Newsgroups: Answers.en-US.vistanetworking
Subject: =?utf-8?B?TGl2ZS1NYWlsIGFuZCBXaW5kb3dzLU1haWwgc2ltdWx0YW5lb3lzbHk/?=

Content-Type: text/html; charset="utf-8"

Ad this is in decoded headers:

I know the bridge software has been updated which has resolved this problem.

Do you wish to close this bug poutnikl?

In fact, MS bridges ( needed 2 for answers and not asnwers) are not recommended anymore, but http://communitybridge.codeplex.com/ instead.

AFAIK the UTF8 problem is resolved for headers without non ascii characters, being converted to ascii.

so, not sure if to close, but definitely low priority.
