Thank you for reporting this issue.
I am aware about this problem as someone already reported it to me.
For the moment there is no such option.
However, you can move or rename the file libsplt_mp3* - this will allow mp3splt not to load the mp3 plugin and thus to use the FLAC one.
What operating system are you using ?
That's a workaround I can use. Thanks Alex
I'm on Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit.
If you need the file it's at:
http://abssorb.com/abssorb/test.flac
278Mb
Please let me know when you have it, so I can take it down. My host will object if it's left there. Thanks.
i have downloaded it. you can remove it. I will take a look later on
thank you.

I have fixed this bug in the latest development version. Please tell me if you want a snapshot.
Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying. Yes please, a snapshot would be very welcome.

Hi, I see 1415 as the latest?. I've already tried that set and unfortunately I got the same results.
Correction. I double-checked my setup and I had dependency problems. Testing 1415 again and good results.
mp3splt produces a warning:
warning: detected as .mp3 but extension does not match
info: file matches the plugin 'flac (libflac)'
But then continues and splits the same test files which failed before. So it seems to be working.
Cool that it works.
Fix is now bundled with mp3splt version 2.6.1.
I am closing the ticket.
Please post here if necessary.

Hello, the problem still exists in version 2.6.2 (windows 10) and cannot try the mod renaming the file "libsplt_mp3-0.dll" as I get the error "error: no plugin matches the file"
