I'd like to lobby for Windows support. It sounds like
something that'll be within reach soon. What's needed
is a pure java replacement for the Ices source client.
If anyone is aware of an icecast compatible set of java
instrinsics?
They need to do the job of libshout, the broadcasting
library used by Ices too. Configure for both Ices and
libshout chokes on my Windows XP machine looking for an
Ogg library:
checking for ogg_sync_init in libogg... configure:
error: not found, maybe you n
eed to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH or /etc/ld.so.conf
There are probably lots of users stuck on Windows that
would otherwise experiment with mp3dj and use it.

Windows support is here!
Mp3dj 4.0 is a rewrite in Flex, which has mp3 player support by way of the flashplayer runtime. Rather than "broadcasting" with ices and icecast, this version features a player in a web-page, affording an "on-demand" form of sharing.
It's been tested under Windows and Linux, and includes complete instructions for each.
