Your software have a same tag for Author/Artist.

Windows Media Player and Windows Explorer make
bad list for author tag. Windows take as Author your
content tag Author/Artist and take as Interpeter the
same tag.
Artist is tag for Interpeter.
Author have another tag.

Can you asign the correct tag for Author?

Not sure what you mean here, I have viewed files under both
WMP and Windows Explorer and all the tag fields are correct
