Hi All, I've been having a dig around and couldn't find anything that seemed to help, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to solve this? Basically, I've used this video input board for a while (based on the Zoran chipset, its a Mirovideo DC-10). I've swapped the input to a cheap wireless camera setup, and found I can grab images no problem (using videodog), but when using with motion I keep loosing the thread for that camera. What I think is happening is since motion is opening the device in streaming mode, each time there is a bit of static, or lost frame or corruption (because of the camera being wireless, and affected by light switches, microwave, etc). Is it possible to tell motion to reload the capture device when this happens, or force it to somehow reload its descriptor to the device? This is the output when in debug for this device: [1] File of type 8 saved to: /var/www/cam/12/27/102544.avi [1] sync error in proc 312: Timer expired [1] mcapture error in proc 312: Device or resource busy [1] Video device fatal error - terminating camera thread [1] Thread exiting [1] Somebody stole the video device, lets hope we got his picture: Device or resource busy And at that point I kill the process and start it again. It happens again almost immediately however. Thanks in advance folks :-) -- Andy w: http://www.thebmwz3.co.uk |
