Hello every one. I have seen that some people would like Motion to be able to scale characters to a larger size (especially for large images). Attached is a quick example program of how it could be done. Please note that this example uses my earlier patch (http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/NewDrawTextMethod). Hypothetically, a new config file option would be needed, like 'scale_char_size' or something, that would be an integer from 0 to ?. If this is set to a positive value, Motion would scale each character during initialization into a data structure, and all character drawing from then on would be done using this data structure. Just throwing this out there as an idea. One problem that I see with this specific example, is that characters become very blocky as the size is increased. I'm sure there are other (better) ways of doing this, but it is 1:02am so what do you expect. :) Sincerely, Andrew Hamilton |
