I have recently started to set up motion on a Pi 3B+ running the latest version of raspbian Buster. I used apt to install version 4.1.1. Following the configuration instructions on the site, after setting up the basic parameters and making sure that everything worked, I tried to "Specify stream_preview_method 3" in the config file, in order to look at motion detection. I had to write the option in, since it wasn't in the default file, and when I ran motion, I got an 'Unknown config option' error for it. Further research suggests that this option may have existed in a previous incarnation of motion, but has not been available for some time. Is there a new option which provides the same sort of split view - showing detected motion as well as the basic video stream? In any event, the configuration instructions need to reflect the currently available (and unavailable) options. -- Peter R. Fletcher <pe...@fl...> Home Page - https://pfletch.fletchers-uk.com |
