Or maybe the problem is something else...
With the BT848 WinTV PCI card I had "jumping deinterlace"-effects.
Hard to describe... It looked like sometimes the deinterlacer would
offset by one line and sometimes not...

But - you can check out the picture yourself... I made a forward in my
firewall: http://home.gofferje.net:8084/

To me it looks like an 1/4 PAL picture scaled up to 768x576.
Look at the diagonal corners like the wind flag below the bird house
or the diagonals at the landing bars of the bird house. There are
stairs...
