Hi Kinney ,

if i'm not mistaken you are running motion with :

setup_mode on

So the behavior of motion is correct :

http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Motion/ConfigOptionSetupMode

That option is usefull to tune motion :

http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Motion/MotionGuideBasicFeatures#Tuning_Motion

So just remove it ( as per default is off ) or change to off ;-)
