It's gentoo linux (Gentoo Base System release 1.12.10, kernel 2.6.26-rc2).

 

The only thing I saw in demsg looking like a possible reason is this one:

videodev: "QCM USB Camera" has no release callback. Please fix your driver
for proper sysfs support, see http://lwn.net/Articles/36850/


but i'm unsure what this means to me.


However,  just saw that 3.2.10.1 has been included in portage this weekend
and just installed it. I'll check if it's gone with the update ...  :)
