I'm glad to see there are people here with interest in moregroupware... anyone else? I am pretty new to opensource development and maybe someone can answer some questions. I still don't understand why there is a lack of enthusiasm in the product... It seems like one of the best available. I am gathering it must not be profitable or else there would be more enthusiasm. Learning more about opensource I'm thinking there are probably very few who profit in a monetary sense. It seems like most are participating so they will benefit from the final product... Is that right? I haven't been able to get to that point financially, to be honest. I'm just trying to understand how to make it work. Also, with the lack of activity maybe moregroupware isn't competitive with some of the other packages. Maybe people like phpgroupware better and they are thriving? Or is it that companies don't really like web-based groupware? For my needs, I really like moregroupware. It has a lot of important features and a great design. The lack of activity worries me. If anyone can help me understand the big picture I'd appreciate it. From a project standpoint, it seems like anyone that has interest in the product should speak up so everyone will know where the project stands. Cheers, Ryan |
