I agree with all the above (too much to quote). I don't know much about
legalities but can thomas just do that, delete his code, maybe including but
fixes by other developers (karsten) and deny the team the right to use it?
... Anyway I don't think my work can help us here.

Only here maybe, as i said, it's a complete rewrite in progress of the core,
which up to now, is not compatible with the old modules. It's also probably
to much recoding work to ever make it as a new branch or whatever with the
ammount of developers and time ppl have. I started it for fun and because
there has been a lot of talk about migrating to an oo design and I was
wondering what the implications would be, and how it would be possible to
use the old modules in an oo core.
