Request for two little scripts

The first script should do the following: go to the end of the line and add a new line. Then one can add a new line below the current line even if in the middle of the line. The cursor position should be set to the starting of the new line.
The other one should move the selected lines one line up or down. (the actually we have three scripts…)
How do I do that? I don't know how to add a new line to the document, and all my attempts to move the cursor position has been failed so far.

First one:

That was the second one. Third one would be similar.
Note that this script may behave in an unexpected way when cursor is on the last line when that line is blank. Use select_text() and replace_selected_text() to get 100% correct behavior, I am too lazy for that.

The third one. Just in case, someone is looking… The 2nd last line cannot be swapped down. Does not bother me.

Line before last one is getlinecount() - 1, which is excluded by your if statement. Make it
if line = doc.get_line_count() then return; end
Shouldn't it be == instead of = ?
if line == doc.get_line_count() then return; end
Then the only problem is if the last line is empty and I swap the 2nd last down. Then another empty line is created.
So I added the -1 with the mentioned drawback.
