Hi all,
A quick note on the AI policy the Modules project has adopted, now
documented in CONTRIBUTING.rst. It follows the Linux kernel's approach and
boils down to three points:
1. You are free to use AI coding assistants for your contributions. Whether
an AI tool helped draft a patch, tests or docs is your choice.
2. You stay fully responsible for what you submit. Review all AI-generated
code, make sure it meets the project's licensing requirements and coding
conventions, and test it thoroughly. Only a human can certify the DCO, so
you keep adding your own Signed-off-by line as usual, and AI agents must
never add one for you.
3. Disclose what you used. Add an "Assisted-by:" trailer to the commit
message, naming the tool and model version, for example:
Assisted-by: Claude:claude-sonnet-5-5
Full details are in the "AI coding assistants" section of CONTRIBUTING.rst:

Thanks,
Xavier
