I've installed the simulator along with com0com on a Windows 7 32 bit laptop with no physical serial ports. The simulator can see the virtual ports which have been created (CNCA0, CNCB0, CNCA1 and CNCB1), however all 4 have the * indicating they are in use. There is no other program using the ports, and Hyperterminal can connect across the ports. Probably user error but any ideas?

Got it sorted, changing the names of the com ports to COM1 and COM2 fixed it.
