This is a very cool tool for CRUD applications. I deployed a simple application (with two entities) in ten minutes. It's the only one supporting Struts/Tiles and EJB generation, I think.
I'd like to have the next features in a tool like ModelJ :
* BMP generation (the skeletons and DAO layer with simple JDBC calls)
* Other J2EE patterns like Service Locator, Value List Handler for the long lists (the Business Delegate, Value Objects and Session facade are very good)
Best regards.

I tested last year some code generators :
* Lowroad : only BMP
* Jenerator : no J2EE patterns
* realMethods framework : high cost, only CMP
There is unfortunately no "complete" J2EE app wizard or full IDE integration (Lomboz plugin is interesting) for JBOSS-J2EE developpement.
(Sorry for my poor english, i'm french so english is not my cup of tea)

hi fabrice
perhaps now you have time to contribute? if not we would at least be interested in having you help define how these features get built, maybe do some evaluating/testing. we hope you are still interested!
NOTE: I realize this post is quite old but still wanted to offer the chance for it to be addressed

That sounds interesting. Can you help us implement it?
