On behalf of the ModelJ development team, I would like to announce that after a short break...hehe...the most excellent work of Tom and crew will be continuing. Tom has graciously allowed some of us to contribute to the project by taking larher role in the project. We will be maintaining all of the existing functionality while adding new functionality. Some of the current ideas include
- a visual designer for generating the model and allowing importing of "basic" XMI models (i.e. Rose, XDE, Poseidon, etc.).
- more choice of backend technologies such as Prevayler and possibly simple persistence frameworks such as Hibernate.
- Tom as proposed the use of the Spring framework to enable easier transition to future technologies, which is an excellent idea.
of course, suggestions from the community-at-large will be our best source of new ideas. so, thanks for stopping back and off we go...
