My OS is CentOS 6.4 and the package installed are apr, apr-devel, apr-util, apr-util-devel, pcre, pcre-devel, libxml2. These are the requirements of https://github.com/SpiderLabs/ModSecurity/wiki/Reference-Manual#wiki-Prerequisites, but this not work. Complaining about not finding apache, when I don't want apache anywhere on the host, nor do I believe it should be required to build for nginx. You don't need to install apache server to install ModSecurity. ModSecurity requires libapr1, libaprutil1, libpcre, and libxml to compile with NGINX.
