The latest version of Mocha Doom finally includes sound, plus numerous other fixes and enhancements. Expect a lot of crazy stuff in v1.6, though ;-)
The next official release of Mocha Doom will feature full-fledged music and sound effects support, thanks to David Martel's contributions. These additions are already present in the CVS, so if you like checking out the code and tinkering youself, you can already get a taste. It needs to be polished a bit before going official though, so be patient ;-)
A major release, it finally brings glitch-free rendering, speed throttling, selectable resolutions, graphics scaling, proper support for all major IWADs, original Doom saving/loading and much more! Last but not least, window sizing and creation bugs, as well as most mouse input issues have been ironed out. Grab it and play THE HELL out of it!
It's finally here! After having to pause development for some time due to more pressing IRL matters, the much-awaited v1.3 service release is here. Among the new features, is -almost- complete gameplay, shooting, moving monsters, activating doors, finishing levels, and even completing episodes. The Mac OS fix should finally make it playable on Mac Too!
Version 1.3 of Mocha Doom's Tech Demo is nearing completion. This is more of a service release, adding a cleaner, more encapsulated codebase, overflow bugs fixed in the drawseg code. some more limit removing features were added (unlimited drawsegs, unlimited sprites), faster column rendering code for masked sprites, higher-precision visplane rendering, alternate tickers, and Mac OS X compatibility.... read more
