I often print A4 or A3 pages on 1:25 000 scale at 200dpi to keep a good map quality but the paper atlas function of MOBAC has some lacks in his actual version.
This request is motivated by my particular use of mobac to print maps for hikes and treks. For the moment i need to extract a large png file of the area. I have to rework it a lot in an other app to make it available for a correct paper print use. but i think this work could be done by mobac itself and other people would appreciate these improvements and use mobac to print easily their own maps too at their wanted scale.
This would be very great if the paper atlases options were reworked.
Here is some ideas of improvements :
Be able to choose the output print scale. for instance 1/10 000; 1/25 000; 1/50 000; 1/100 000
Be able to move the selection area on the map witch the size would be defined by the output paper size/orientation and the chosen scale. (like so we could be like wyswyg on the map an seeing the corresponding area of the scale/paper size chosen)
Be able to choose the size of the overprints like the grid coordinates, the compass, the page number and their position (left, right, up, down).
For the overprinted scale, all the previous functions would be also useful and then be able to choose the lenght of it and why not implement various layouts with multiples and various lenghts in the same line.
I expect that my ideas are clearly enough described, english is not my native language. If there is some points that are not well explained, feel free to ask complementary informations.
I hope these ideas will gain some interrest.
