Hi,
I don't understand why there is such limitation, I want to create an offline tiles store to avoid re-download for a big area, but there shall be no limits (anyway why 500 000 it's not 32bits, neither 64bits, nor 16bit, why not square(2)^PI? ;) ) ....
thanks and regards

This is a limitation against leechers. The online map server are primarily for online viewing not for mass download. One MOBAC users is like 100 or more regular users.

Just download such large regions and/or not such high zoom levels.

this is good intent but hell is paved with good intent, a leecher will
consume 100x times a regular user once a year or two years, will also avoid
another user (or more) to download the same data from the website by
sharing the data using usb key, instead of going regulary to the website it
will go instead use the offline data.... and consume bandwidth when others
won't (mostly when sleeping...)... integral of dirac curve is zero... even
if dirac is infinite... it's 2 months that i didn't gone to the map server
where I got the tiles, when i was going to the site 1h once per day
      (average) before... anyway...
