Problem 1:
When creating map from "Google Hybrid" Map source, custom tile format is always png even if selected format is "JPEG -quality xx" (tile size is default 256x256). This was tested for formats "Sports Tracker" and "NaviComputer" and "Run.GPS Atlas". This problem is clearly visible in case of "Sports Tracker" where in output folders image tiles are created with extension jpg but any image viewer can tell that this are png files. For other two formats problem is visible only by very large size of output file.
Problem 2:
Same formats were tested for "Microsoft Maps/Earth Hybrid" Map source, and result is correct (jpg format) in case of "Sports Tracker" and "NaviComputer", while "Run.GPS Atlas" again uses png (very large file). I don't know if this is bug in Mobile Atlas Creator or "Run.GPS Atlas" really must use only png format?
SportsTracker & output format: The custom tile processing is currently not supported. Originally someone told me that only PNGs are supported but the file extension has to be jpg. Really strange but so was the requirement defined - see

What is really needed by SportsTracker - can someone please explain?
NaviComputer does not support custom tile processing - all settings in this part are ignored.
Run.GPS Atlas: As far as I know only PNGs are supported therefore custom tile processing is ignored and in case of JPEG maps they are converted to PNG.
I'm not that familiar with Sports Tracker, used it in this case because it's map files use image files while other two programs use their own proprietary formats. Seems like interesting freeware, maybe I install it and test if it can read jpg tiles from any map source.
I've been using NaviComputer already several months, and it definitively supports jpg files from any Map source. It has its own NaviMapper program for creating offline maps and output map from this program has small size. I hope that tile processing will be added in Mobile Atlas Creator, would be nice having one program for all mapping needs ;)
I found in Run.GPS forum message from author of this program that it supports only png's.
In my testing with Mobile Atlas Creator, same area covered with jpg (quality 80) tiles is 50 MB, while with png is 500 MB, 10 times bigger. From this, png maps are not an option for me.
@rizik29 did you ever use Sportstracker ? I do.
Everything is working fine.

Sportstracker can also download the tiles via Mobile Net.
The "Sporttracker created tiles" are also png´s with jpg extension.
