#4 MacNME should use SSH when required

Given that some of the data transmitted by MacNME
will be user names, passwords, and uids it might be a
good idea to utilize SSH when connecting to the clients.
Perhaps it could be an option that can be selected in
the preferences and then the connection can be
negotiated automatically.
