it happens that a download requested by the user results in only one single do you have blocks message to one single broker. if that one does not reply, the download does not proceed at all for quite long a time...

I observed this too, on a node behind relay.
I'll experiment a couple more times, but maybe this is "good enough" for v0.6.2.
I don't think this is important enough to hold up the release of v0.6.2. But I'm still willing to look at it if someone can give me a detailed log...
Yikes. I tried a fresh node, and this bug is really bad. Also, I've just about fixed it... So back into v0.6.2 it goes.
