We would have to write a separate mmm-indent-region which understands mmm regions, and calls the appropriate function in each part. That doesn't sound too hard, I guess, but I don't have time to do it. > - nested highlighting would be much appreciated (for java <% .. %> > expressions imbedded in javascipt) The infrastructure is there to do that right now. It works in the CWeb submode, for instance. I don't know how hard that would be to turn on... I'll have to play with it (since one reason I don't have time to work on anything is I'm busy writing JSPs). > - then there's the matter of mixing structural constructs between java and > javascript or html, such as [...] > It would be sooo nice if those could be automatically indented in a > sensible way... I think the key to this will be similar to what Joe is doing with noweb: have an intelligent mode which uses mmm-mode for regions, rather than just having mmm-mode manage things. After all, mmm-mode generally can't know how you want things indented between java, js and html, but a JSP-mode could. > I know that I should probably peruse the archive of the mailing list but > I find the interface awkward and time consuming.
