MMIXmasters is for the volunteers who are converting all of the programs in Knuth's "The Art of Computer Programming" Volumes 1 - 3 from MIX to a new language, MMIX.

Hans-Peter Nilsson has contributed a port of GCC to MMIX. More details at:

1. The mailing lists "mmixmasters-announce" and "mmixmasters-discussion" should be operational. When I'm fully convinced that they are, I will disable the mmixmaster@mmixmaster.org mailing list.

2. The MMIXmasters web site at SourceForge is NOT operational. Since the staff of SourceForge is attending LinuxWorld, I won't be able to get help setting things straight until Monday, 05 Feb 01. Sorry.
