I tested this with two sets of media, one set on my C:
drive that *had* spaces in the path and a second set on
my D: drive that *did not* have spaces in the path.
Note that this specifically refers to the path alone,
not the filename itself. The media that was on my C:
drive would not play (returned a 404) while the media
on my D: drive played fine. As soon as I copied all my
media from my C: drive to my D: drive, it all worked
just fine. The only thing that I changed was the
location of the files, so I'm assuming it had to do
with the fact that there were spaces in the path.
Feel free to contact me if you need more information,
or want me to test anything.

Cannot reproduce, sent email to submitter:
Hi,
I'm just looking at bug 974422: "Cannot play media with
spaces in path" that you submitted on the mlwww sourceforge
site a few months back.
I've been unable to reproduce the problem and was wondering
if there was anything else that may have explaned the
problem you were having?
Steps I used while attempting to reproduce:
1 - Create a folder: C:\temp\test folder\
2 - copy a file to "test folder"
3 - add "test folder" to the list of folders for the media
library to scan.
4 - Press the "Rescan Now" button in the media library
preferences.
5 - Press the "Refresh Now" button in the mlwww preferences
6 - Open mlwww in a web browser.
7 - Goto "Remote Control" mode.
8 - Find the song i added in the media library browser.
9 - Click the "Play" icon next to the name of the song.
Thanks,
Chris Smith (mlwww developer)

This was fixed in some previous version (not sure when?)
