It might be possible to dust off Swerve <http://mlton.org/Swerve>, the HTTP server library. Maybe one could start updating it with HTTP/2, or build an app, write up a tutorial, or add complementary features based on other embedded servers like golang's <https://golang.org/pkg/net/http/>.
