BGa is our contact at Ushodaya Enterprises Limited. They have funded all the development of mlt (and dv1394d) to date. He's normally online in the #mlt IRC channel at irc.gimp.org. I'm not sure he's on the mailing list, so I've bcc'd him here. > btw2 - during testing the a/v apps available for linux, I noticed that it seems that there is no 'real' timecode support and support for controling the device via rs-422, e.g., in any of the apps I 've checked out (kino, kdenlive, lives, pitivi, jahshaka). > I just found out that the cinelerra guys seems to start working on this vey important faeture for tv broadcaster, or are there any news on that topic? Well, it was always something that BGa has had on the agenda - we have hooks in the code for this to be implemented, but the cost of the equipment has made it impractical for myself or Dan to have the access required to develop it. So, yes, providing the funding and equipment is available, I'd certainly be interested in developing it :-). Cheers, Charlie |
